The wood grain has a lovely smooth finish, and the letter is just the right weight for my toddler to hold while we practice sounds. It looks perfect next to the matching bear print on the nursery shelf.

Bought this to start spelling my daughter's name above her crib and the letter is sturdier than I expected for the price. The edges are sanded smooth so there's nothing rough for little hands, and she already points at the bear shape when we practice letters.

The painted finish is smooth with no rough edges, which I was worried about since it's going in my son's room. It's a nice chunky size too, so it stands up fine on the shelf next to his books instead of tipping over.
